In 2017, Stevo came to fame with his hit song “Vijana Tuache Mihadarati.”

In a recent interview with @drofwoneke, Stevo said that he had recorded the hit song two years prior to its trend. The trend came after his appearance on  Ebru TV's "Chipukeezy Show.

Early Life

Sevo was brought up in Oyugis, Homabay County before relocating to Nairobi. In a family of 8, Stevo was the lastborn male. Though Stevo has not yet revealed his parent’s names, Stevo made it clear that he lost his father in early 2023. He also revealed that he has also lost one of his siblings and they are now 7 in the family.  

The rapper started his schooling in Nyanza, where he studied from nursery to class seven. Later, the family relocated to Nairobi, Kibera where he finished class 8 and sat for his KCPE. Stevo did not further his studies due to a lack of finances to cater for school fees and other school expenses. 

Relationship

In a recent interview by TV47 Kenya, Stevo revealed that he is in a complicated relationship. He mentioned that though he has no one to live with, he has some women showing interest in his DMs. Stevo once had a relationship with Fridah, a lady from Kibera. 

Musical Career

Stevo has been passionate about music since he was a young boy. As earlier mentioned, Stevo saw a breakthrough in 2017  when he released his hit song “Vijana Tuache Mihadarati.” In addition to earning him a role as an ambassador for NACADA (National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse), the song brought him into the limelight. Following the hit song, Stevo managed to release other songs such as "Inauma," a song that reflected his pain from online trolls, showcasing his ability to turn personal experiences into relatable art.
