Places that Have Been Most Affected by Coronavirus
ITALY
Italy has faced it is the gravest moment as mentioned by its prime minister, he continues by saying
that Italy faced this type of gravest moment since the second world war. The
death toll from COVID-19 in Italy has risen at a higher percentage.
On
Saturday’s figure 793 people died due to the virus totaling to 4825 while on
Sunday the figure totaled to 5476 after 651 rises of death cases. It was an
increase of 13.5 percent.
The total number of cases in Italy has increased to
a total of 59138 rising with 10.4 percent from a total of 53578.
Italy is highly affected by the coronavirus
(COVID-19) since a higher percentage of its citizens are aged.
It is
disadvantaged since odder people and people with chronic illness are at a
higher risk because they are vulnerable to the worst effect of the virus.
Their
immune may be worn to fight the virus if affected. These doesn’t mean that
COVID-19 cannot affect younger age.
All are requested to stay indoors and
quarantine themselves to be in a safer position.
KENYA
Kenya Has Confirmed 8 More Cases of COVID-19
On 13th March Kenya had their first victim
of coronavirus who had traveled from the US via London. These resulted in the health
ministry to suspend public gatherings, meetings, religious events, and games.
On 15th, they confirmed two more cases. President Uhuru Kenyatta
ordered the closure of schools and urged the Kenyans to work from home to avoid
the spread of the disease.
On 19th March, four more cases were confirmed
resulting in a total of seven victims.
On the 22nd of March, there are
more eight cases confirmed who tested positive bringing the number to a total of
15 victims. Kenyans are at the shock and are advised to stay indoors.
The cabinet secretary urged Kenyans those who are
traveling outside the country should understand that the virus is a threat to
the country and they should quarantine themselves to avoid the spread of the
disease.
He continues by saying that it is an offensive act to claim that you
will quarantine then you refuse to do so. Those who do not will be quarantined
forcibly and be jailed for a term.
It is very shameful of Kenyans being urged to stay indoors
for their own safety but they take everything for granted.
Ignorance of Kenyans
resulted in police officers using tear gases and beating up protestors after the forcible attempt of closing a crowded market in Kisumu. Kisumu county governor
Anyang Nyong’o had ordered the police to do so.
Traders then started protesting
that they no longer need their governor.
Citizens have not come to their senses
and realize how this virus is a threat to our lives and our future.
It is
understandable that 60% of Kenyans need to work every day so as to get
their basic needs, most of them have no savings to cater to their needs.
Kenyans
should be aware of the virus and the harm that it can cause, they should
improve the level of preparedness for the disease.
CHINA
The virus originally originated from china and it was
the highest country that was affected by the coronavirus.
China had ended a
three-day streak of reporting that there were no new coronavirus cases after
46 people had tested positive.
On that particular day, China’s National Heath
Commission reported six new deaths. Five among the six deaths were from
Wuhan where the outbreak originated from.
China total cases are 81054, new cases are 46, total
deaths are 326, new deaths 6, total that have recovered 72440, active cases are
5353, critical cases 1845 and tot cases are 56.
China is coming up with
measures that can aid them in identifying new cases, these include diverting of
flights and arrive in Beijing where passengers will undergo virus screening so
as to avoid more spread of the virus that the passengers might be infected from
outside China.
USA
In
USA, the first case emerged from a 35-year-old man who had traveled from Wuhan in
China and returning to Washington State and thereafter it has spread almost
every state whereby new cases are emerging each and every day.
The citizens are
advised to stay home until further notice, avoid restaurants, bars and
gatherings and those who violated the orders are charged with a fine.
Airports
are in pandemonium, schools are closed, and hospitals are preparing for a tsunami of patients, repurposing their facilities for coronavirus patients and
adding extra beds
President
Donald Trump was tested after he had contacted a person who had been
confirmed to be positive.
He tested negative. On 18th, the president
signed a bill that was purposely meant to help those who have been affected
by a coronavirus.
These resulted to free testing, provides food aid and
unemployment benefits. Below are the cases involved in the USA:
